Drawing … threads…

What you are looking at

Each of the 1,189 chapters of the Bible sits along the base of that plate, in order, Genesis on the left to Revelation on the right. The dark spikes beneath it are how long each chapter is. Every thread above is a cross-reference — a place where one passage points at another. There are … of them.

A thread's colour is how far it reaches: near neighbours are violet down at the base, and the long spans between the Testaments arc over the top in gold and green.

Click along the base to open a chapter, or use Books to go straight to one. Search a reference like John 3:16 to jump, or a phrase like “a city set on a hill” to search all 31,102 verses. Every chapter shows what it points to and what points at it; click any connection to follow it, or compare to open it beside what you are reading. The path you took is kept at the top so you can walk back. Switch between the KJV, the ASV and the BSB, or set All to read them in parallel. Highlight a verse or write a note and it stays in this browser.
